A two day Training Workshop for facilitators, farmers and processors on Sorghum post harvest management, processing, value addition food safety and standards was today kicked off at the conference room of Bida-Badeggi Zonal Office. The training is being facilitated by Professor S.B. Abdu, Dr. M.U. Makeri and Dr. Henry Egwuma who are Specialists from A.B.U Zaria. The workshop is scheduled to end tomorrow with practical session by the Resource Persons.

ATASP-1, Kano-Jigawa Zone today, Thursday 3/11/22 held a bid session for the construction and reconstruction of
collapsed Gafan Dam and Watari Irrigation Scheme in Bunkure and Bagwai Local Government Areas, Kano State.
The National Programme Coordinator (NPC) Mohammed Arabi, was represented by the National Procurement Officer (NPO),
Engr. Abubakar Mahmud, while ZPC Alh. Auwalu Ado Shehu hosted the event.
Other Members from the National Headquarters include National Irrigation Engineer, Engr. Egwa A. Egwa, Environmental
Specialist Mr. Michael K Balasom and Engr. Tijjani Mafi, T.A. Infrastructure.
Communities of Kware Local Government Area were trained on malnutrition and nutrition awareness, complementary food,
environmental sanitation/ hygiene as well as practical on Food Processing among other important and relevant topics at
Bulama Community of Kware Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
This is part of the community training on nutrition and health program organised by ATASP-1 Kebbi-Sokoto zonal project
implementation unit.
ATASP-1 Kebbi-Sokoto Zone conducted yet another round of training on Nutrition and Health Program for Birnin Kebbi,
Bagudo, Suru, Shanga and Ngaski Local Government Areas of Kebbi State.
The training was held at the Zonal Office of ATASP-1 Kebbi-Sokoto with the Zonal Program Coordinator Dr. Aliyu Abubakar
Dogondaji in attendance.
It covers topics on issues of malnutrition and nutrition awareness, complementary food, environmental sanitation/hygiene
and practical on food processing among other important and relevant topics.
